There was a really interesting article by Salman Rushdie in the Guardian Review yesterday about screen adaptations of books. Thought the following quote ('finchness' as in Darwin's finches) was quite relevant to what I'm doing in my work at the moment:

I have just begun third year at college. I'd completely forgotten that other people actually go to my college, I've been lurking around all summer, occasionally running into V in the library.
